Stargate ... family venue.
Stargate Theme Park, a Dh280-million ($76 million) family edutainment centre being built at Zabeel Park, will be operational in March next year.
The Dubai Municipality project is being undertaken by Osus under a BOT (build-operate-transfer) contract. The centre is designed to offer a mix of world-class education and family entertainment.
The project is themed in the form of a spaceship and covers a total area of 260,000 sq ft. The main attractions are spread across five domes, each offering various shows and interactive games. There is also high-speed electric go-karting and a family rollercoaster along with hi-tech virtual rides. Other features include a children’s academy, hi-tech mazes, and a multi-cuisine food-court.
