Work has started on a new five-star hotel in Dubai that draws inspiration from the palaces and forts in Rajasthan, India.

The Grand Fort Dubai is being built by Nakheel in a venture with Bharat Hotels.
Located in Nakheel’s Al Furjan development, the hotel will be owned by Cavern Hotel and Resorts, the newly-formed joint-venture company. The 293-room hotel is scheduled for completion in 2010 and will feature a spa, business and conference facilities, landscaped gardens, restaurants and retail outlets.  
Set in 560 hectares south of Ibn Battuta Mall, Al Furjan will boast over 4,000 homes as well as apartments, hotels and commercial outlets.
