UAE-based Creative Concrete Concepts (CCC), the region’s pioneering manufacturer of decorative concrete products, will be promoting two of its latest products at the Big 5 show.
These products include a thermal insulation system known as InsuCrete and an exciting new concept for decorative flooring.
“Continuing CCC’s tradition of innovation and technical excellence, these two innovations are the epitome of both aesthetics and substance,” says Amer Anabtawi, chief operating officer/chief financial officer of the company.
Commenting on its thermal insulation system, Anabtawi says: “To stay at the forefront of the green revolution that is sweeping the construction industry in the region, CCC began developing and refining its InsuCrete exterior insulation finish system (EIFS), several years ago. It’s a thermal insulation system that provides unrivalled energy efficiency.”
At the core of the thermal insulation capability of the system are expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam boards that provide the highest thermal resistance value (R-value) of any construction material, while being lightweight and thin (5 to 6 cm), according to him.
“The unique feature of an EIFS over other insulation systems such as thermal blocks is that the EPS or XPS boards completely envelope the exterior of a building, thereby eliminating any thermal bridges through beams or columns,” he points out.
However, what makes it possible to use the foam boards so efficiently, according to the company, are the components that make up the InsuCrete system: the base/adhesive coat (FoamFix) and the various high-performance finish coats manufactured by CCC.
“With these innovative materials, the designer can endow any building with the highest level of energy efficiency, weatherability and resistance to the elements for many years to come. What’s more, energy efficiency need not come at the cost of beauty; CCC manufactures a wide selection of high-performance, flexible, cementitious finish coats that enable the designer to choose from a variety of finishes ranging from a Venetian stucco smooth finish to a traditional Spanish textured finish,” says Anabtawi.
Already in use on a variety of new construction projects in Dubai, Qatar, and Kuwait, InsuCrete can also be used on existing buildings to both restore the exterior of the building and provide it with high levels of thermal insulation, without having to remove existing wall construction material.
Also maintaining its leading role in decorative concrete in the region, CCC is introducing an exciting new concept for decorative flooring at the show: concrete stencil carpeting. Explaining this concept, Anabtawi says: “Starting with CCC’s proprietary stencils, the designer or applicator can then use a variety of innovative concrete colouring systems manufactured by the company: concrete dyes, concrete stains, and PaveCrete 220 Micro Topping Skim Coat, the only one of its kind in the region. With these components, the designer can create an endless variety of permanent and attractive ornaments on any concrete floor, similar to the beautiful floral and geometric shapes that adorned the floors of ancient Greek and Roman palaces.”
Manufacturing under licence from the mother company in the US since 1994, CCC has a diversified product line that includes stamped concrete, coloured concrete, flexible high-performance stuccos, glass finish stucco, lightweight plasters for carving and artificial rock work, overlay systems, in-situ terrazzo overlays, and acid staining.
The company, according to Anabtawi, offers the construction sector immense flexibility in designing projects. “CCC has enabled architects, engineers, and home owners to unleash their imagination and creativity and explore a new world of unlimited design possibilities. CCC complements its decorative concrete product line with premium US-made hand tools, texturing tools and power equipment for the decorative concrete professional,” he says “In addition, the company has been providing the region with top quality construction chemicals that include waterproofing coatings, tile adhesives and grouts, protective sealers, floor hardeners, joint sealants and epoxy floor coatings.”
The company has been serving clients in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UAE), Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Sudan as well as Europe and South and Central Asia from its plants in Amman, Jordan and Sharjah, UAE.
“With over 40 years of combined experience in the industry, the widest product line of any manufacturer, and the highest quality materials, CCC is the undisputed leader in decorative and architectural concrete serving the Middle East and surrounding regions,” Anabtawi concludes.
