Complete provider

TrimoRaster … answer to modern minimalism.

Trimo, which specialises in the engineering and production of pre-fabricated buildings, returns to the Big 5 show this year with a wide portfolio of new fire-proof and cladding systems.

The Slovenia-based supplier of non-combustible cladding systems and panels for both steel and concrete building systems and quick-assembly containers will unveil  its Trimo- Raster, a new bi-modular cladding system and Trimo EcoSolar PV, a photovoltaic system, while promoting its Trimoterm fireproof roof and façade panels and its build-up containers system, which are now being produced in Fujairah, UAE.
The company, which is looking forward to meet its existing and potential customers at the Big 5 show, indicates that it was satisfied with the results of its participation at the show last year and is looking for even better results this year.
Trimo, a complete solution provider in the area of steel construction and a specialist when it comes to fireproof panels, has over 45 years of experience in the engineering, manufacturing and assembly of non-combustible cladding systems spanning retail, industrial, office, leisure, residential, airport and other buildings.
“With this experience,” says Hafed Hmudda, area manager for Middle East and North Africa, “we have grown rapidly and are now recognised as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of thermal insulated/fire-rated roofing and facade panels, as well as build-up containers. Our products comprise fire-resistant and thermal-insulated panels filled with mineral wool and have been tested and approved to all major European standards including ISO 9001:2000, ISO14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001 as well as FM and LPCB.”
The Trimoterm range offers complete solutions for roofs and facades.
Speaking on its Trimoterm panels range, Hmudda says: “Fireproof panels Trimoterm FTV (including Invisio, Gladio and Multi Vario variations) for façade and partition walls and SNV (and SNV-3L) for roofs are particularly convenient for applications where high fire-resistant, sound-reduction and thermal-insulation properties are required. They are made from carefully selected materials that assure excellent technical properties.”
They consist of two profiled, both-sided galvanised and painted metal sheets with an insulating core made of non-combustible laminated mineral wool of class A1. All three layers are bonded to form a compact fireproof sandwich element.
Trimoterm FTV fireproof panels are used for a wide range of external façade cladding, internal partition walls, fire walls and ceilings for either leisure, commercial, industrial, hygienic and other facilities. Panels can be installed in either a vertical or a horizontal orientation.
Trimoterm offers a complete range of innovative solutions: “Under Trimo, we are committed to continually developing products and processes, which contribute to higher added value. We work with suppliers to develop new materials, and work with customers to realise new ideas and individual solutions,” says Hmudda. “For instance, Trimoterm FTV MultiVario façade panels are unique in the world. Over 60 possible combinations of the enlarged micro-profile are available that allow the architect the ultimate freedom of expression and the ability to design buildings of true individual character. Trimo received a prestigious recognition for innovativeness for its MultiVario façade panel at the Bau 2005 fair in Munich, Germany.”
Trimoterm FTV Invisio, another innovative addition to its existing range, is an invisible fixing façade panel, which combines aesthetic finish with excellent technical properties. All fixing elements are incorporated in the panel joint and are therefore not visible after assembly, he says.
Trimoterm FTV Gladio façade panels are completely and optically flat. The outer, visible side of metal sheet is manufactured using a special high-technology process that ensures an optimal flat surface.
Trimoterm SNV and SNV-3L fireproof roof panels are well suited for sloped roofs for commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. Although used mainly for roof cladding, they can also be used for wall cladding.
Meanwhile, TrimoRaster, which will be introduced to the regional market at the Big 5 show, is a new modular façade made of fire-proof sandwich panels with an emphasised joint on all four sides.
“TrimoRaster is the answer to modern minimalism where simple, accomplished forms combined with functional completeness and fast and simple assembly are required. Unlike similar existing cassette systems where only aesthetic design is of vital importance, TrimoRaster offers a self-supporting, insulating and fireproof façade. The system unites almost all of the relevant functional advantages of high-quality façade panels with top aesthetic design,” Hmudda points out. TrimoRaster is available in various sizes and colours.
Recognising the growing importance of green energy in today’s times, Trimo has developed a new photovoltaic Trimo EcoSolar PV roof panel. “At Trimo, we are committed to innovative thinking, continuous development and environmental responsibility. With this in mind, we look to green energy to play a significant role in accomplishing our goals and hence, have developed the Trimo EcoSolar PV roof panel, an integrated solution consisting of sandwich roof panels, light and flexible photovoltaic modules,” says Hmudda.
The panel can be used on commercial, industrial, recreational and many other types of buildings. Special attention has been given on providing each customer with a turnkey solar power plant for their specific building, he says.
Besides roofing and façade panels, the company also specialises in Trimo living containers, which are modular buildings used for offices, accommodation and other purposes. “The flexibility of our modular system does not compromise on the essentials such as fire protection, sound insulation or thermal insulation. Trimo living containers offer flexibility in dimension, which can be tailored to the individual requirement, using non-flammable and environmentally-friendly materials and come in a range of colour options,” explains Hmudda. “They can be used as independent stand-alone units, or they can be connected together in large compound facilities, horizontally in longitudinal and transverse directions without limits, or in floors.”
Commenting on Trimo’s strategy for success, he says: “Our philosophy is to use our knowledge and experience, together with our excellent products and services, to meet or even exceed clients’ expectations. We believe in innovation and are confident that our products will open up new design and construction possibilities for the most individual projects, stimulating a whole new era of new and exciting architectural solutions.”
Trimo continues to grow and develop new products, while expanding its sales and achieving its goals, says Hmudda, adding that the company achieved a 26 per cent increase in turnover last year compared with 2006.
Trimo, which recorded an annual turnover of $343.60 million last year, has production facilities in Trebnje, Slovenia; Kovrov, Russia; a recently-opened factory for facades and roof panels in Simanovci, Serbia, in addition to the the factory manufacturing living containers in Fujairah,
Trimo’s impressive client portfolio includes many international companies such as Bovis Land Lease, DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Ikea, Nestlé, Masterfoods, Continental, Airbus and Agip. In the Gulf region, the company has supplied its panels to projects such as the Airbus spares centre in the Dubai airport free zone, which was opened in April this year, Amana Industries office in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah in the UAE, and the Ikea store in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, besides other ongoing projects.
Trimo has received a European award for leadership in accordance with a European business excellence model and has also received the Golden Kiwi Award 2007, a world award for design, which it received for the passenger terminal at the Yerevan International Airport in Armenia.
