The cornerstone for the new 63-storey Rolex Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road was laid last month by Patrick Heiniger, chief executive officer of Rolex.

“Much like the brand name it proudly carries, the Rolex Tower will be an embodiment of perfection, setting new standards in taste, elegance and functionality,” said a spokesman for the developer. “The Rolex Tower will be an outstanding place to live, work, and shop. The ground floor and mezzanine will house a variety of high-class retail facilities. Offices will occupy the next 30 floors.”
“Atop the offices will be 23 floors of residential rental apartments, with penthouses at the top. This slim, beautiful, glass monument will be Dubai's new achievement in architectural elegance,” he added.
Rolex Tower is designed by Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), which has a global reputation for mega-projects including London's Canary Wharf and Burj Dubai.
Dubai Contracting Company (DCC) has been awarded the turnkey construction contract for the tower. To be completed in less than 24 months, the Rolex Tower is the largest and most ambitious of Ahmed Seddiqi and Sons' real estate developments to date.
