Metito, the international desalination, water, and waste water treatment company, has signed a turnkey project for financing, constructing, and operating a temporary waste water treatment plant (WWTP) at International City in Dubai.
The plant with a capacity of 5,000 cu m per day is set for delivery to the owner, Palm Water, by June.
The temporary sewage treatment plant is designed by Metito with the provision to be moved and transported to any other location, where it may be deemed necessary. The plant will consist of three streams to treat the raw sewage using extended aeration activated sludge process. This will serve the growing population of International City, which is increasing at a rapid rate, said a Metito spokesman.
Metito will also ensure that the sewage treatment plant’s design and operation complies with the stringent standards issued by PCFC Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza) and Dubai Municipality.
