Vesda aspirating smoke detection systems manufactured by Vision Systems-Vesda have made their debut in Kuwait with the installation of the systems in the engineering faculty of Kuwait University.
Two Vesda LaserPLUS units were installed by Al Ghanim Wormald to protect the university's clean room facility used for experimental microchip manufacture. "The clean room is not only the first of its type in Kuwait, but is also the first area in the country to be protected with Vesda LaserPLUS units," says a company spokesman.
There are two main areas protected - the main laboratory and the furnace room - both use LaserPLUS units for early detection and then Inergen for protection.
