The Solutions Center, a joint project of USG, Gerflor and BCIC, is scheduled to open its doors in Dubai this month.

It will be the Middle East's first and only creative idea resource centre dedicated to the needs of architects, designers, building owners, contractors, building products distributors and others in the construction industry, says Georges J Farsoun, general manager, USG Middle East.

The Solutions Center, covering two levels, will be a product design showcase specialising in the most innovative ceilings, suspension systems, and floor covering products of the USG, Gerflor and BCIC companies.

"This reservoir of product innovation will also be a hands-on education centre where building professionals can meet and interact with our engineers to discuss building challenges, new product designs, unique applications and installation techniques," he says.

The centre will offer a variety of programmes including tours of the facility, product demonstrations, lectures and presentations.

The new centre will be of particular interest to those involved in building or renovating large commercial projects, universities, hospitals, healthcare facilities, restaurants, business centres, recreation facilities and residential projects, says Farsoun.
