KCI Konecranes of the UK has won an order from Bahrain Precast Concrete for a 10-tonne, 31.5 m span Goliath crane.
Gordon Adie, managing director of KCI Konecranes, said: "We are delighted to have won this order. Within its design we have incorporated tropicalised motors, shotblasting of SA 2.5, heat shields and thermistors, to ensure smooth operation in the prevailing conditions of the Gulf, and storm anchors.
In addition to the standard features, the Goliath will also be fitted with the latest state-of-the-art KCI features including: Dual speeds on hoist and traverse and Dynac inverter variable speed control on the long travel motion, floodlights, condition monitoring, platforms, and limit switches on all motions. The crane will be delivered by May-end.
