FG Wilson opens Jafz centre

FG Wilson (Engineering) FZE, a leader in generator set sales in the Middle East and Asia, has opened its new regional centre of excellence for power generation solutions in the South Zone at Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

The high-tech 15,000 sq m facility was inaugurated by Bill Rohner, vice-president of Caterpillar, US, and Salma Hareb, chief executive officer, Jafza in the presence of a number of dignitaries.
FG Wilson (Engineering) has been operating in Jafza since 1991, and the new facility is expected to further consolidate the company's position in the power generating sets market in the region.
The company sells the complete range of its diesel generators – from 5.5 kVA to 2200 kVA load transfer panels and gas generator sets. The gensets are manufactured by its Ireland-based parent firm FG Wilson Engineering, a major global player in the field of power-generation solutions, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, US.
Today, FG Wilson is the largest generating set manufacturer in the UK and one of the largest in the world, with the capacity to manufacture over 50,000 generating sets per year.
