THE Dizayn Oxy Plus heating pipe, claimed to be the only ‘imperforate’ and among the safest heating pipes worldwide, is expected to steal the limelight, when the Dizayn Group brings its diverse portfolio of plumbing products to Saudi Build next month.
Apart from this heating pipe, the company’s expansive product line includes sanitary pipes and fittings such as PPR (polypropylene-random copolymer) pipes, Pex-b pipe, Dizayn Extra wastewater pipe and Dizayn Silent pipe and fittings; infrastructure pipes and fittings and pre-insulation city heating pipe and fittings; and irrigation pipes and fittings.
Dizayn Oxy Plus heating pipe is claimed to be the only ‘imperforate’ and safest heating pipe in which the aluminium foil is most effectively employed. Using imperforate aluminium foil prevents the passage of oxyen in the pipe and hence its expansion.
Produced from PPR raw material and aluminium foil, the pipe is resistant to chemicals and is used for sanitary systems for transportating hot and cold water.

Oxy Plus heating pipe ... ‘safest’ worldwide. |
Explaining the distinctive technology, a spokesman says: “The speciality of this pipe is that the aluminum foil is placed in the middle of the wall thickness through its unique technology, ensuring pressure resistance under high temperatures, less thermal expansion and oxygen isolation.
“The pipe is composed of two PPR layers with equal wall thickness and an aluminium foil in between these layers. The adhesion of the foil and PPR layer is ensured by the adhesive being over and under the aluminium foil placed in the middle of the wall thickness,” he elaborates.
The Dizayn Oxy Plus heating pipes is one of these patented systems developed by the Dizayn Group, the other two being a face smoothing tool and a special welding tool and welding machine.
“With the help of these three patented systems, any possible narrowing at the end of the pipes can be averted, also preventing problems caused by any welding operation. Additionally, the special welding machine and additional parts facilitate an easy welding of this pipe,” he says.
Produced in accordance to the Turkish TSE and EN norms, the Dizayn Oxy Plus heating pipe is claimed to have superior features compared to standard PPR pipes:
Peeling not required: This pipe eliminates the peeling problem, thanks to the aluminium foil that is placed just at the middle of the wall thickness.
Ease in welding: After the pipe is cut, it is prepared easily and seamlessly for welding by using the face smoothing tool. Special welding tool and face smoothing tool are also advised to be used during installations.
More work in less time: Since the pipe doesn’t require peeling and is prepared for welding with minimum effort, labour and time efficiency are achieved.
Resistant to elongation: Since layers inside and outside the foil are of equal thickness and since the aluminium foil is placed in the middle, they exhibit similar amount of resistance to elongation.
Oxygen isolation: The aluminium foil prevents oxygen from permeating into system, prolonging the life of the fittings.
Waste minimised: Wastage is cut as even short pieces of this pipe can easily be used.
The Dizayn Oxy Plus heating pipe, which can be used with Dizayn PPR fittings easily, is produced in diameters ranging from 20 mm to 110 mm diameter. Used in the transfer of in-building clean water systems, it is under a 50-year guarantee in cold water (20 deg C) applications under PN 20 pressure.
The standard production of this pipe is in 4 m lengths with colour options being white, grey and green, although custom colours can be offered on demand.
