High quality sanitary ware will go on display at Saudi Build.

SAUDI Ceramic Company will showcase its entire range of 2011 new products at this year’s Saudi Build exhibition, which according to its chief executive officer is an ideal gathering for striking sales deals.

A regular Saudi Build participant, Saudi Ceramic promotes all of its products like sanitary ware, tiles and electric water heaters, which are based on the latest  designs, at the show.

The state-of-the-art products reflect the company’s continuous initiatives at meeting the ever-increasing demand for higher quality and latest designs of ceramic products, says a company spokesman.

In line with this, the company has carried out expansion of all its factories in addition to opening new showrooms and launching latest product ranges, says CEO Abdulkarim Alnafie. “Presently, we’re in the process of expanding our sanitary ware and tiles factories and as part of future plans we’ll carry out projects in all our factories,” he adds.

As a producer of ceramic and porcelain tiles, sanitary ware and electric water heaters, Saudi Ceramic offers its customers high-quality products at fair prices; new products to meet customer requirements; customised products; technical and marketing support to customers; availability of spare parts; delivery of products to customers within and outside Saudi Arabia; and after-sales services.

Commenting on business in 2010, Alnafie says both the local and export markets are showing good progress this year. “We expect our sales for 2010 will exceed the 2009 actual sales as planned.”

The company supplies its products to numerous distributors and project owners in Saudi Arabia besides serving the general public and home builders through the 24 showrooms located in most of the kingdom’s cities.

Saudi Ceramic Company is a joint stock company that currently owns nine factories. Of the four tile factories, the last one is under construction with the first stage having already commenced production. On completion of the second stage, production will begin in 2012. Alnafie says this factory will add 17 million sq m to the production capacity of tiles, taking the total capacity of the factory to 52 million sq m by 2012.

The other factories include a sanitary ware factory with a total production of 2.5 million pieces; two frit factories with total production of 30,000 tonnes; and two electric water heater factories with a total production of 1.5 million units per year.

The company, which owns and operates a sales office in Dubai, UAE, has 3,300 employees, and an annual turnover that stood at SR957.7 million ($255.37 million).
