Doka’s ready-to-use formwork solution ... hassle-free construction.

DOKA is launching a “unique, ready-to-use” service in the Middle East that will help clients save time and money by using its pre-assembled formwork.

The formwork expert will debut this service at Saudi Build 2010, while showcasing its latest and proven formwork solutions.

The new initiative targets contracting companies which are involved in infrastructure or building projects, who can benefit from it and experience a hassle-free project delivery, according to Frank Kircher, managing director for Doka Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

“The ready-to-use service will be very useful for fast-track projects as clients will not have to waste time on training their labourers. They can save material costs as it will be customised and they can start casting as soon as the formwork is offloaded from the truck and erected. In the case of infrastructure projects like bridges and tunnels, the service will be very useful as clients will not need assembly space onsite, facilitating regular traffic to pass without any hindrance,” he explains.

Doka returns to Saudi Build enthused by the very positive business response it received at last year’s event, when it attracted a lot of visitors, according to Kircher, who sees Saudi Build as a “good platform for local and international construction and building suppliers to interact with the market”.

“Saudi Build is different from other shows and it is important for us to showcase our latest products and services at this event,” he says.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Kircher says: “Business has definitely been challenging for everyone in the construction market, especially after the global financial meltdown last year. For our company, the challenge is to maintain strong relations not just as a supplier but a partner to the construction industry.”

Doka, he adds, is today a strong force in Saudi Arabia having successfully risen to the market challenges over the past three decades.

The company’s recent major projects have included the King Abdullah Endowment Project in Makkah, Jamarat bridge in Mina, King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (Kaust), Kind Saud University, Granada Business Park in Riyadh, and the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) amongst others.
