GREEN Solutions Company, a 100-per-cent Saudi concern, has taken on the challenge of addressing a highly critical issue in this region – water conservation – and will be at Saudi Build with a range of solutions that would help reduce consumption.
The company is involved in the identification, development and marketing of innovative water conservations solutions, products and systems for the Saudi market. Such products and systems include vacuum toilets for buildings, sensor faucets and artificial grass for landscape and sports applications.
Saud Alsayyari, executive manager of Green Solutions, emphasises the serious need to address the issue of water scarcity in this region. “Water is a major problem in all parts of the world and in our region it has reached a high-risk level. Water authorities need to introduce new regulations to utilise water saving solutions and we need to exploit all available technologies in this field,” he says.
Given the gravity of the situation and intent on contributing its solutions, Green Solutions is offering innovative solutions for water conservation. Among these is a vacuum sanitary system for building from Jets Company of Norway. From small tailor-made single-toilet configurations to large preassembled units for demanding use in larger buildings, Jets offers sanitary systems that suit the application.
“This system uses air instead of water to flush and transport sewage,” says Alsayyari. “It uses only one litre per flush (LPF) versus 6 LPF in the case of conventional (gravity) systems and, as such, saves more than 80 per cent in water consumption.
Among other environment-friendly products are electronic (sensor) faucets, which save up to 70 per cent in water consumption. Green Solutions is the agent in Saudi Arabia for the high-quality Swiss-made Iqua electronic faucets. This range of faucets includes models for washbasins and a wall-mounted version, which is suitable for mosques.
Another water-saving product is artificial grass. “This looks real but does not need water thus saving 100 per cent of the water required for keeping grass green at all times,” he points out.
The company has recently signed a contract for the installation of a new football field using artificial grass from Holland.
Green Solutions has been a regular participant at Saudi Build and keeps returning to the show to maintain a close contact with the market and its customers. At the show, the company will be displaying for the second time a demo model of the vacuum sanitary system for use in buildings.
Green Solutions Company is a limited liability company located in Riyadh. It was founded in July 2009 as a new company to take over the activities of Almakhayl Trading Establishment, which had been in business since 1999. It currently employs nine people.
“Green Solutions, in essence, is a continuation of Almakhayl’s business in a new, financially and technically stronger structure,” explains Alsayyari. The company can be visited at Stand 144-1 at Saudi Build.
