ALYUSUF Group of Companies recently set up a marketing and export department that is devising strategies to expand the company’s export business and widen its clientele. The group will also draw support from gulfBID to help raise its visibility in the market.
A regular participant at gulfBID, the company has stolen the limelight over the past two years with its innovative stands at the event, which have demonstrated its capability and range.

“gulfBID is seen as a fundamental platform for companies to boost annual sales. It enables us to promote local business and penetrate the GCC market with our high-quality products,” says Basim Al Yusuf, managing director.
“We exhibited at gulfBID last year and found it to be a well-organised show targeted specifically at the construction sector, private developers as well as decision-makers,” he says. “We found a reasonable level of interaction among visitors, which also helped us to finalise on four projects.”
Established in 1970, Alyusuf Group of Companies has 500 employees on its rolls and production facilities in Manama, Tubli and Khamis.

The group encompasses Alyusuf Decoration, Alyusuf Building Materials, Alyusuf Thermo Glass, Alyusuf Aluminium, Alyusuf Glass and Mirror Company, Global Technical Supplies and Globart Gallery.
The company, which has been focusing on the Bahrain market so far, has begun exporting its insulated double glazed products to Saudi Arabia and is now looking at penetrating the Qatar shortly.
Commenting on business levels, Al Yusuf says: “2008 was an excellent year for business while in 2009 our performance was average as large projects were stalled due to the global meltdown.”
The group is also planning to introduce several new products following a study of the market.
Alyusuf Group will be present at Stand 1A41 at the expo.
