ARABIAN Construction Company (ACC) has been awarded the Dh1.46 billion ($400 million) contract to build the world’s tallest residential tower – the Pentominium in Dubai Marina.

Developed by Trident International Holdings, the 124-floor Pentominium –  whose name is derived from penthouse and condominium – will be the tallest all-residential building in the world upon completion and it currently has the highest projected height of any residential building under construction, according to Aedas, the project’s designers.
The Pentominium will also be one of the world’s tallest structures and is projected to be the second-tallest building in the world after the Burj Dubai, which is more than 800 m high. Each apartment in the 618-m tower will occupy either half of the floor or an entire floor. The total built-up area will be 170,000 sq m and the duration of the construction is expected to be 48 months.
The partnerships for Pentominium include world-renowned Italian luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo which will be doing a select few branded penthouses. Other brands such as Rolls Royce, Swarovski, Bang and Olufsen, Tiffany and Co, Damas, Quintessentially, Davidoff, Azimut Yachts and Six Senses Resort and Spas will also be strategic utility providers.
Trident International Holdings executive director and CEO Wazir Daredia said: “The Pentominium is a unique project that escalates the concept of luxury living to new heights and with construction major ACC on board, the project has joined an exquisite bouquet of brand partnerships we have forged for the development.
