Carrying on TCM’s tradition of superior performance, the Japanese manufacturer has recently launched its new series of forklifts – the Inoma range – that promises to offer durable toughness with operator-friendly features.
“With TCM’s vast experience in forklift technology, the Inoma is born offering optimum performance, greater comfort, improved manoeuvrability, safety and durability,” says a TCM spokesman.
One of the innovations on the truck, which significantly reduces noise and vibration in the process – is the dual-floating system for the engine and bonnet. “The engine and transmission are mounted on four-point rubber floating absorbers to significantly reduce shocks and vibrations. The same system is now adopted for the bonnet,” the spokesman explains.
“Other innovations also include an increase in the operator's floor area, made possible by the redesigned tilt cylinders located under the floor, repositioning of the parking lever with its release button at the right side of the steering column and redesign of the cabin to allow an increase in the size of the access stepboard. The multi-functional suspension seat includes increased driver support, reduced vibration, forward-backward recline adjustments, seatback utility pocket and a seat belt,” he adds.
Continuing on the breakthrough features of the Inoma, Abdullah S Al Ali, general manager of Aljomaih Equipment, the distributor of TCM in Saudi Arabia, says: “An improved soft landing mechanism, a smaller semi-circular steering wheel, easy-to-read meter panel and greatly improved forward-backward visibility largely contribute to operator’s comfort, safety and productivity.
“In addition, stability in travelling and loading is provided by an increased front/rear stability ratio. While the designers at TCM have sought to achieve enhanced radiator cooling efficiency and in turn obtain cooler engine operating temperatures, by repositioning the fan, radiator and muffler. The hydraulic system has also been redesigned to minimise pressure loss, realising a reduction in hydraulic system temperatures, thus lengthening the life of hydraulic system components and parts,” Al Ali says.
He adds: “All TCM products could be made available via the Aljomaih Equipment Company. Aljomaih also represents Iveco Spa and Case New Holland, Merlo and Nardi of Italy, Claas and MTU of Germany, Tacom of Japan, Nokka-Tume of Finland, Perkins of the UK, Arcusin of Spain, and US-based Valmont Industries, manufacturer of the internationally well-known Valley irrigation systems.
The firm sells a wide range of generator sets and engines, wheel loaders, dozers and graders, concrete mixers, vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers, forklifts and telescopic handlers, marine container straddle carrier and telescopic spreaders, agri-tractors and harvesters, mowers and balers, combined seed drills and fertiliser spreaders, cultivators and disc ploughs and trailers and auto-bale loader wagons and irrigation equipment and systems to the Saudi market.
