Korean cranes get new Bahrain agent

A leading Bahrain group has formed a new company in Bahrain known as HKTC Middle East, which will serve as the Middle East agent for HKTC Liebherr (Korea) cranes, offering a wide range of cranes in a variety of capacities and models including hammerhead and luffing cranes.

The new company will also provide comprehensive maintenance services not only for its own cranes but will also offer similar services for other cranes in the market as well says a spokesman for the company.
“The crane market in the area suffers from old and poorly maintained cranes and a lack of good maintenance support. In a bid to fill this gap, we have decided to set up our own company to maintain HKTC Liebherr cranes as well as those of other makes,” says Stephan Bae, general manager of HKTC Middle East. “ We have just erected our first new crane on the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) site in Bahrain and the feedback from the main contractor Cebarco Bahrain has been better than anticipated – they have placed an order for a further eight cranes,” adds Bae.
HKTC Liebherr will provide cranes of all capacities. The standard stocked range of cranes is for maximum lift capacities from six to 16 tonnes although other capacities are available with longer lead periods.
