The Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAFR) has awarded the local Kuwait Commercial Markets Complex Company (KCMCC) a KD18 million ($62 million) 20-year build-operate-transfer (BOT) concession to develop Salmiya Park in Kuwait City.
The scope of work will involve building retail and leisure facilities on the site, which covers an area of 33 hectares of land, apart from carrying out extensive landscaping work. The park will include a new mall, a health club, a veterinary clinic, a wedding hall and several car parks. It will also include sports facilities, fountains and a 2.6-km railway circling the development.
