Ducab’s facility ... ISO certified.

Ducab, a leading manufacturer of high quality power cables in the Middle East, has acquired ISO 9001:2000 certification for its recently-opened Abu Dhabi plant.

The certification was given by the British Approval Services for Cables (Basec), an industry-renowned audit body for cables.
“The move came as a result of a series of stringent processes and inspections to ensure full compliance with prescribed ISO standards,” says a Ducab spokesman.
ISO 9001:2000 is a global standard of merit signifying Ducab’s quality management approach and affirming its efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, meet customer needs and continually improve performance while holding to regulatory requirements.
“Ducab is committed to establishing itself as the premier power cable provider in the region,” said Colin Paskins, managing director, Ducab. “The ISO 9001 certification is testament to our continual improvement, total quality management, rigorously tested standardised operational methods, and end goal of providing unprecedented quality and consumer satisfaction.”
The Abu Dhabi plant is Ducab’s biggest investment since its inception. The facility has the capacity of producing 25,000 copper tonnes and is already witnessing a success with production approaching its maximum.  The plant’s certification will allow the state of the art facilities to compete on level ground with international players.
