

The Dubai Municipality (DM) has recently issued a licence to construct three high-rise buildings in Emirates Hills 2 at an overall cost of Dh380 million ($103.47 million).
Engineer Khalid Mohammed Saleh, director of the Building Department of the Municipality, said the proposed towers would consist of 575 residential apartments.
The ground floor and three upper storeys of the towers would be allotted for parking with a total of 670 parking lots. The total built-up area will be more than 1.27 million sq ft while the plot area is just over 178,000 sq ft.
Saleh added that the towers would have a total of 575 apartments, of which 328 are one-bedroom apartments, 216 two-bedroom apartments and 30 apartments with three bedrooms. Gymnasium and swimming pools will occupy nearly 18,000 sq ft.
• In a separate development, the DM has also given go-ahead for the construction of a 70-storey tower in the Trade Centre 2 Area at a cost of Dh200 million ($54.48 million).
The proposed tower will comprise residential apartments and commercial shops.
The building will have two basement level, ground floor, two mezzanine floors, three service floors, and 70 upper storeys, in addition to a health club. The total built-up area will be more than 511,000 sq ft while the plot area is over 10,000 sq ft.
Once complete, the tower will offer a total of 560 apartments, of which 280 are one-bedroom apartments, 40 two-bedroom apartments and 240 studio apartments.
The tower will also include 13,000 sq ft in shops. The parking lot can accommodate 605 cars. There will also be a 603 sq ft health club.
