Having initiated full-fledged operations in Dubai just a year ago, Jacuzzi Middle East has gone from strength to strength, grabbing a fair share of the high-end bathroom solutions, spas and accessories market in the process.

“The hard work put in by the Jacuzzi team pushing the state-of-the-art spa and whirlpool systems has resulted in some major contracts besides the significant sales in the residential sector to discerning customers,” says managing director, Robert Pearce.
Recently, the company was awarded the contract to supply sanitary ware to the signature villas on Nakheel’s The Palm, Jumeirah.
“The fact that Nakheel has chosen Jacuzzi products to fit out its high-quality properties is a clear indicator of our market position, our outstanding quality and the design aspects of the products,” says regional marketing manager Jennifer Reid.
“Totalling over 1,800 pieces of ceramic sanitary ware, this new order just reinforces our strategic decision to set up a regional office in Dubai,” Reid adds.
“Operating as a branch office of Jacuzzi UK, and part of Jacuzzi Brands, we at the Dubai unit are working hard on educating the individual to create his own space of well-being and rejuvenation when he set up his bathrooms.
“We spend a great deal of time explaining how our products rejuvenate and revitalise people, however, nothing quite gets the message across as physically trying the product out. This is the reason why the company came up with the idea of designing a stand at Ideal Home Show (held last month) where potential customers could jump into the tub and experience the product for themselves,” she adds.
Jacuzzi has become the world’s largest selling brand of jetted/whirlpool baths and spas. In addition to the first whirlpool bath patent, Jacuzzi Brands has 250 worldwide patents for advancements in pump systems, jet technology, air controls and product design. This ongoing commitment to innovative product development ensures the brand’s leadership position in the industry, and sets standards the world over.
“In the 1990s, Jacuzzi Brands expanded its range of products to include multifunctional shower systems and combination bath/shower products. In 2001, the range was further expanded to include sanitary ware, brassware, accessories and bathroom furniture.
“Jacuzzi Brands now offers more than 40 types of whirlpool baths, 10 sanitary ware suites, seven ranges of brassware, three ranges of accessories, as well as six non-whirlpool acrylic baths, three models of J-tower showers, and two ranges of furniture,” she points out.
The Jacuzzi sanitary ware to be installed in the signature villas of The Palm are being produced in the company’s dedicated facility at Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, UK.
 “Our products are made to the highest specifications with stringent quality testing throughout the manufacturing process. The Medina set, which has been chosen by Nakheel, has a distinctive and elegant style and we expect to see more and more projects in Dubai specifying our products due to their extremely high quality and brand image,” she adds.
The company’s product mix is huge and includes ranges such as the Aura, Morphosis and Mynima, which seamlessly combine design aesthetics with cutting edge technology.
“The new Aura Plus is a double bathtub having a large size and depth with finishes that offer the refinement of precious wood species, either teak or wengé” she adds.
Together Jacuzzi and Pininfarina redefine the bathing experience with the Morphosis initiative, which is exemplary of a strong marriage of form and function, says Reid.
Mynima, another creation by Jacuzzi, is the purest expression of simplicity structured around everyday life.
“The Mynima range uses tempered crystal for the doors and the roof which give the product a simple elegant look. The really innovative feature of the product is the anodised aluminium column, which contains the Mynima technological box system. Simple controls activate the Aqua Feeling or Enerjet functions and the screen-printed crystal side wall gives effective protection against humidity, ensuring maximum hygiene,” she explains.
Other innovative aspects of the shower include the height-adjustable multifunction jet and the thermostatic mixer, the non-slip bottom and the handy shelves, the low shower tray made of Crystal Plant, with solid and long-lasting seal.
