Saudi Crawford Doors Factory – specialists ‘in and around door openings’ – will launch a new generation of high-speed doors that promises exceptional performance in Saudi Arabia later this month.

“The new Crawford 855 is the most complete high-speed door on the market today, with very high performance in a number of important parameters. No other door offers the unique functional combina-tions,” says managing director Roger Boogh.
The new high-speed door for installation in outer walls in both industrial and commercial buildings has an opening speed of up to 2.5 m/sec and comes with a self-repairing function that automatically resets the door blade after a collision. The door has a high wind-load resistance of 28 m/s and meets the requirements of the new European standards for industrial doors.
“Like all our doors, the Crawford 855 meets the latest EU standards and has several safety features,” says Boogh. “Since the door is designed to withstand demanding use and collisions, damage is minimised. The integrated window sections make obstacles behind the door visible and allow light into the premises. The bottom edge has a sensor, which reverses the door instantly if there is an obstacle in its path. Crawford has now taken a step to further improve the safety edge by replacing the spiral cable with a wireless system between the bottom edge and the control unit.
The Crawford 855 offers cycle counter and service indicator as standard and its soft start and stop function extend the product lifetime.
It can be fitted with an emergency battery back-up and a number of automatic opening alternatives for different access requirements and should the needs change, the doors can easily be adapted to meet new traffic or access situations.
