Saveto has worked on a range of projects.

Saudi Vetonit Company (Saveto) – a leading manufacturer and distributor of the Vetonit and Saveto brand of finishing materials – is looking forward to further improve its operations with an aim of meeting its customers requirements throughout the region.

“With the present economic growth in the kingdom we foresee a tremendous boom in the construction industry,” says sales manager Maher Abdul Hadi.
Saveto is one the leading manufacturers of dry mixed cement and gypsum-based building and finishing materials in the GCC countries. The company, which will celebrate its silver jubilee next year, has branches and distributors covering most of the Middle East. Its products cater to all the finishing requirements of buildings right from the basement to the roof.
Having achieved a 20 per cent growth in business year on year, Saveto has added new products and additional colours to its existing product range, offering a greater variety to customers.
The company has more than 40 different products, many of them in a variety of colours, which have been applied on major projects in the kingdom. The range includes exterior and interior coatings, plasters, colour textures and renders, tile adhesives and joint grouts as well as special products such as self-levelling flooring products, acoustic plasters, bonding agents and joint tapes.
Based on the uses, the company’s products are divided into six different groups. They include:
• Exterior coatings: These water and weather-resistant plasters intended for exterior application are available as Base WR EG and Finish WR EG. Base WR (water resistant) EG (exterior grade) is a coarse finish coat plaster and Finish WR EG is a water and weather-resistant fine finish coat plaster and texture coating. It is also a perfect underlayment for paints. These products are available in grey, white and 20 standard colors. Finish WR EG, is also available in super white.

• Plasters and renders: These include Spatter Dash – a strong scratch coat to be used beneath plasters on difficult surfaces – and Premix Plaster, which provides excellent application properties, reduces material waste and improves productivity on site. This product is environmentally friendly and easier to handle and store than traditional products produced at the site. The product group also includes Premix Color Texture, Cement Perlite Plaster and Renders including Render and Thick Render and are available in grey, white and 20 standard colors.
• Tile set products: Famous for its quality and availability throughout the region, this group includes: Fix, Ceramic Tile Fix and Pool Fix. These products are water-resistant tile adhesives for installation of ceramic wall and floor tiles, marble, Riyadh stone, terrazzo flooring and tiles for swimming pools. The group also includes grout and pool grout for grouting tiles that are available in white, grey and 20 other standard colours.
Special products: This group includes a bond admixture (multipurpose bonding agent) and joint tapes, fibreglass tapes for pre-finishing, reinforcing and jointing of precast panels and gypsum board joints and acoustic plaster, a sound-absorbing interior coating.
Other products include gypsum plaster, gypsum joint compound for levelling and finishing gypsum plaster works and joints of gypsum boards and gypsum perlite plaster, which can be used to provide good thermal insulation and fire-resistance properties.
The product group also includes non-shrink grout, crack filler, putty WR, self-level (a self-levelling flooring compound, which is an ideal underlayment for PVC floor tiles and carpets) and masonry mortar (a product for brick-laying and block works).
Established in 1981, Saveto has more than 200 personnel working at its warehouse and production facilities spread across the kingdom.
“In a move to enhance operational efficiency, the company has shifted its head office to its factory location. “The move has helped us serve our customers better,” says Hadi.
“We are still the market leaders and we will continue to develop our efficiency and       products further to make sure that we are second to none,” he adds.
“Our primary objective has been not only to meet our customers’ requirements but to actually exceed them,” says Hadi.
Towards this end, the company has taken great care to ensure the quality of its products. “All our products have been developed to suit the demanding climatic conditions in the Middle East. Our products are manufactured in state-of-the-art automated production lines under rigorous quality assurance and research cooperation with our leading European partners.
