
Oman government has awarded the contract for the design and supervision of new terminals at Seeb and Salalah airports to a consortium led by a Danish company.
The proposed expansion will transform Seeb International Airport into one of the most modern airports in the region, Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and deputy chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council said.
The consortium comprises Denmark’s Cowi and Larsen Architects and Consulting Engineers.
The proposed new terminal at Seeb would have a capacity to handle 12 million passengers yearly. The capacity of the Salalah airport terminal will be expanded to nearly two million passengers.
