Indian pump and compressor manufacturer Kay International Limited will introduce its range of rotary twin/tri lobe air/gas blowers/compressors and dry air injection vacuum pumps when it makes its debut at the Big 5 show.

Says export manager AK Puri: 'Kay International currently enjoys a formidable 80 per cent share of the Indian market and has been exporting to the Middle East and South East Asian countries through many OEMs. We are looking forward to further explore the export market and expand our market share in a big way.'

The company, which was started in Delhi in 1966, has grown in size and employs more than 350 people and boasts of an annual turnover of $3.5 million. 'We have recorded a 10 per cent growth over the previous year and are expecting to grow another 20 per cent this year,' says Puri.

Kay has recently started marketing diffusers, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, settler media and bio-media.
Says Puri: 'Our main markets in the region are the UAE, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Libya. UAE has a great potential for our products to be used in water and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and pneumatic conveying application in all types of industries.

The company has increased production capacity for manufacturing blowers/compressors and dry air injection vacuum pumps and intends to expand its output even further depending on demand. It also plans to appoint further agents to cover the entire Gulf, Middle East and South East Asian countries and also place its own representatives in these countries.

The company has also received the ISO-9001: 2000 certification from the US-based Underwriters Laboratories and says that its products are approved by most of the leading international consultants including Lloyds Register of Shipping, Uhde, Bureau Veritas, SGS, EIL, Davy Power, Jacobs H & G, Bechtel and Mecon.
