Juma Al Majid Establishment for Electro-Mechanical Works (lifts division) was responsible for the supply and installation of 15 elevators at Dubai Internet City - Phase 3.
The company installed two passenger and one service lift from Sigma Elevators in each of the five buildings.
"We completed our job, worth Dh2 million, earlier this year," says John Alam, department manager. "The lifts were custom-designed with luxury finishes comprising stainless steel and glass. Each passenger lift has a capacity of 1,000 kg and the speed is 1.75 m/sec while the capacity of each service lift is 1,350 kg and the speed is 1 m/sec."

The division employs a workforce of around 1,000 highly skilled staff, including qualified engineers and experienced foremen and workers.
Some of the projects the lifts division has been involved with include Al Tawun Mall, Al Nahda Residential complex, Sarah shopping Mall and Rotana Hotel in Sharjah, and Taj Palace hotel, Al Khaleej Centre, Dubai Business Centre and Palme Strip Mall, all in Dubai.
