German construction equipment company Elba has lined up a host of innovations and technical highlights at bauma 2001.
These include the newly-designed concrete mixing plant Elba Beton Center EBC. The EBC series, which replaces the Mixcenter series EMC, consists of compact modules with standard transport measurements.
"The mixing plant has great diversity as it can be equipped with a linear bin (EBC D) and an inclined conveyor belt (EBC B) as well as a batching star (EBC S)," says Ingrid Schaar of Elba. "The EBC offers an optimum variety of options to all clients in the concrete business in Germany and across the world."
Other innovations to be unveiled at the show are the Elba Modules 500 and 1000. These have been specially developed for retro-fitting existing prefabricated plants and are the heart of new prefab factories as well as small readymix plants, says Schaar. Laid out for 500 l and 1000 1 concrete mixers, the Elba Module's compactness is said to ease adaptation into existing sites.
Visitors to bauma 2001 will also be able to view the Elba Supermobil ESM, which is promoted as being a leader in mobility and a great money saver.
"The Elba Supermobil ESM can be relocated in an impressively short period as it will take only one working day to erect it and to start producing concrete," Schaar says. Mixer sizes are available from 1,650 1 to 2,500 1 producing outputs of 80 cu m/h to 120 cu m/h.
Elba's truck-mounted concrete pump AP 13023 is said to facilitate pumping of concrete on narrow sites, thanks to new telescopic pump outriggers. It is promoted as having the following characteristics: proven system, high performance, excellent stability, and redesigning and modification with diagonal outriggers.
Also new is the mixing plant control system Elbamatic C 7 with an integrated BUS system.
''The new Elbamatic C 7 is said to combine the most modern technology and a high level of automation. PLC technology and PC modules in connection with Windows-based software guarantee maximum flexibility and expandability.
"The BUS system reduces installation efforts to a minimum and increases reliability. The database can easily integrate with the customer's network. This enables a simple data exchange. The teleservice facilities as well as an integrated diagram service will guarantee optimal operation and minimal service,'' says Schaar.
The Elba Mixer EMS 500 -3500 is introduced as a single-shaft compulsory mixer of the EMS series that has been proven worldwide and is at the heart of every single Elba concrete mixing plant. "It guarantees a high and steady quality of concrete along with an economic production regarding all the variations of concrete," she adds.
Elba will also present its report on self-compacting concrete during bauma 2001.
