Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) of Saudi Arabia and Herman Gutmann Werke of Germany are to build a state-of-the-art aluminium extrusion and aluminium composite panel factory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
To be built at a cost of $90 million, the factory will have an annual production capacity of 22,000 tonnes of extruded aluminium, including anodising and powder coating facilities, as well as an output of some 1.5 million sq m of aluminium composite panels.
CPC will have a 65 per cent stake in the investment, while the remaining 35 per cent will be controlled by Gutmann and its parent Alco.
Gutmann will provide the necessary know-how and technical support for this investment, according to CPC’s director of business development Dr Faysal Alaquil.
Based in Jeddah, CPC and its subsidiaries provide specialised vital construction materials ranging from precast, readymix, cut-and-bend steel, marble and granite, electromechanical systems, and electrical cables, along with the administrative logistics support to serve the building industry under one umbrella.
Herman Gutmann Werke has been engaged in the aluminum extrusion business for more than 70 years. The company is currently one of the fastest growing groups in the aluminium extrusion sector in Europe, with production facilities in Germany and Greece and an expanding distribution network with current trading hubs in Romania, the Middle East and the US.
