Qatar-headquartered Pancel-tica, a leading provider of fast-track housing solutions in the Middle East, has been utilising its innovative on-site manufacturing process to significantly reduce construction time.
Incorporated in November 2005, Panceltica is currently working on a $320 million project involving the construction of low-rise residences within Qatar’s Barwa Housing project.
Apart from Barwa Group, Panceltica’s client base includes the Qatar Real Estate and the Tourism Development and Investment Company in Abu Dhabi.
The group specialises in the fast-track fabrication and construction of lightweight galvanised steel-framed structures for residential and commercial property units in the GCC region using Scottsdale Technology owned by the group.
New Zealand-based Scottsdale was taken over by Panceltica recently, and this has further strengthened the group’s position in the fast-track fabrication and construction of residential and commercial property units, says a spokesman for the group.
Using Scottsdale fabrication machines have their own advantages, says the spokesman. Some of these benefits include: easy transportation making it well suited for remote locations; minimal wastage of raw materials; and encompasses modern prefabrication techniques such as external cladding, internal finishing and infill panels.
Currently, the company is planning a 4,500 sq m facility within Qatar Energy City, which will employ 150 to 200 staff and is expected to be completed in 12 to 18 months.
The company, which boasts a 1,350-member-strong workforce in Qatar alone, has an office in Dubai, which liaises on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
