Lulu Island project to use Aconex

The Aconex online information management service will be used to save time, increase productivity and reduce risks on the $1.2 billion Lulu Island multi-purpose real estate development.

The 563,000 sq m man-made island is being built on the Manama seafront in Bahrain.
“Lulu Tourism Company is pleased to have signed a contract with Aconex to provide online management solutions to handle the large volume of documentation and correspondence that will need to be managed effectively to ensure the project is completed on time and budget,” says Elias Karaan, general manager of Lulu Tourism Company.
Aconex will streamline communication and facilitate collaboration on the project by managing data that includes documents, workflows and correspondence – all online through one central site. This will enable project participants, such as project managers, architects, engineers and consultants, to view, track and share their documents at any time and from any location. Lulu Tourism Company, through the Aconex system, also expects to save time through quick and easy information access, reduce costs such as couriers, printing and stationery and reduce risks such as information loss and disputes.
Aconex is the leading provider of online information management solutions across Asia, the Middle East and Australia currently servicing more than 25,000 companies across 40 countries on projects valued in excess of $60 billion.
