The 2006 edition of Project Qatar – originally scheduled to be held in September – will now be be staged from May 1 to 4 at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre.
Third in the series of international exhibitions for construction technology, building materials, equipment and environmental technology, the show is guaranteed to bring the best of the world’s construction technology and products to the booming construction sector in Qatar,” says a spokesman for the organiser.
Organised by IFP Qatar, a member of the IFP Group, Project Qatar aims to provide an ideal forum for exhibitors to come face to face with contractors, engineers and decision makers and to rub shoulders with all the major GCC and international players taking part in this prestigious event, he says.

Project Qatar attracted 11,000 visitors and saw the participation of companies from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, the UAE, the US, Bahrain, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, New Zealand and North Ireland.
The IFP Group is also organising the third International Rebuild Iraq Exhibition, which will be held at the International Exhibition Center in Amman, Jordan from May 8 to 11. More than 56 government organisations and leading professional trade associations have declared their support for the show.
