Y K Almoayyed & Sons-Systems & Trading Division supplied the Gent fire alarm system for the Almoayyed Tower.

It also supplied fire extinguishers from Walker Fire UK, hose reels from Angus Fire UK  and hose reel cabinets from Bristol Engineering UAE.
The company is the sole system house for Gent UK (part of the Novar group) in Bahrain and supplied, tested and commissioned the System 34000 analogue addressable fire alarm system for the project.
Elaborating on the fire alarm system, Ajit Bolar, senior manager, systems and trading division says: 'System 34000 employs the most advanced form of detection.
By using much more than just digital multistate methods, this system has the ability to plot the output from a fire sensor over a period of time. This time-based data forms an accurate picture of the fire sensor's immediate environment and how it is changing.
'The system makes a decision on whether a fire or fault exists by  comparing the plotted patterns against known fire and fault patterns held in the control panel's memory.
'System 34000's memory is programmed with detection patterns - based  upon more than 1 million hours of data logged sensor information - which ensures that it makes the right decision.  'As well as providing the user with clear comprehensive information in the event of a fire, System 34000 additionally provides an entire historic log of the system's management information.  Should a system fault occur, a detailed explanation is shown and the user can, at any time, navigate through the faults history.'
At the Almoayyed Tower, two eight-loop fire alarm control panels have been installed with heat sensors and optical smoke/heat sensors and sounders, together with a state-of-the-art graphics package.
Other products supplied by the company include Decoduct uPVC conduit pipes and fittings and low-voltage copper conductor armoured cables and single-core wires from Riyadh Cables of Saudi Arabia. Installation has been undertaken by sister concern Almoayyed Electrical Contracting.
The division has successfully executed a number of prestigious projects in Bahrain using Gent fire alarm systems and Trend building management system including the Citibank headquarters, National Bank of Bahrain headquarters, Novotel Al Dana Hotel, Movenpick Hotel near the airport, the Government House in Gudaibiya, Al Zahrah commercial centre,  a hotel in Sanabis and Muharraq Technical School,
Work is in progress on Bahrain National Holdings Company's headquarters project  in the Seef district.

Besides these systems products, the division's extensive range of trading products includes aluminium ladders, adhesives, polythene sheets, electrical products (cables, switches, sockets and plugs, emergency lights and cable glands and lugs, and water heaters), exhaust fans, cooling fans and ceiling fans, garage equipment, pvc pipes and fittings, plumbing products, pumps, transformers, wood working machines, safety products, hand tools and garden tools.
