Dubai-based Mostafa bin Abdullatif Group has awarded the design of Cascades, 62-apartment residential complex, to Arif and Bintoak of Dubai. The project is estimated to cost Dh70 million ($19 million).
The 33,000-sq ft waterfront plot at Dubai Marina will accommodate a 17-storey tower to be tendered in July. The property is in a new neighbourhood called Chinatown.
The complex will have a mixture of apartments of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom penthouses and duplexes. The prices range from Dh400,000 to Dh2.5 million in accordance with the size and the floor level.
Omran Mostafa, managing director, Mostafa Bin Abdullatif Group said the Cascades aims to provide something different from what other developers are offering. "As far as the design is concerned, the company has deliberately gone in for a contemporary look when everyone around seems to be concentrating on heavy baroque and traditional Arab designs. And, by planning a 17-storey boutique tower with 62 luxury apartments when most high-rises are aiming for double the size (both in terms of the number of storeys and apartments), what Mostafa is creating is a small, intimate community where everyone lives like a family," he said.
As the name of the project suggests, water plays an important part in the scheme of things. Not only are there water features all around the building but they are everywhere within the building as well. Besides two huge cascades at the entrance, there is a double-storeyed cascade as soon as you enter the building and a swimming pool, shallow water, Jacuzzi, water fountain, interactive pool games, aqua ducts and more.
Each apartment at the Cascades is a blend of contemporary luxury design, consisting of granite and laminate flooring, creative lighting, high-quality bathroom fixtures, top-of-the-line white goods and elegantly-designed kitchen units.
Large windows, breathtaking views, spacious rooms, landscaped terraces and shallow ponds all add to create a soothing ambience. Spacious landscaped terraces, terrace Jacuzzi, private pool, step-down living/dining area are some of the other distinguishing features are offered in penthouses with Jumeirah Islands and Dubai Marina views, he said.
