
RAK Ceramics has joined hands with Laticrete International of the US to form the Laticrete RAK joint venture company to offer useful, high-strength and durable tile installation products having unique properties.
The manufacturing base of this joint venture will be at Ras Al Khaimah, for which work is on at a rapid pace.
Dr Khater Massaad, chief executive officer of RAK Ceramics comments: "The combination of Laticrete's technology and RAK Ceramics' strengths creates a superb platform to launch a drive to further service RAK's existing customers in the Middle East and Africa region, and many new customers in this region. Laticrete International and RAK Ceramics have complementary product lines, development capabilities and geographic strengths, and we have already begun to capture synergies, plan international sales growth and identify specialty projects that will come our way due to the synergy."
Laticrete specialises in installation of large format tiles, tiles for facades, swimming pools and wet areas, besides fixing tiles and stone products for other critical installations. Laticrete says its wide-ranging experience and proven comprehensive systems provides an excellent solution for all tile and stone installation needs.
Laticrete also has a wide range of tiles and stone care products such as sealants and cleaning chemicals.
RAK Ceramics is a $300 million global multinational involved in manufacturing ceramic tiles, gres procellanato and sanitary ware. At its Ras Al Khaimah location where the new manufacturing plant will be set up, RAK Ceramic currently manufactures daily, more than130,000 sq m of tiles and over 5,000 pieces of sanitary wares. RAK Ceramics exports its products to over 125 countries.
