One of the leading ceramic producers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, the Saudi Ceramic Company (SCC) has recently expanded its sanitary ware plant while an expansion of its tile plant is on cards.

The company says that the expansion project on its sanitary ware plant has increased its capacity to about 25,000 tonnes per year.

It says its strong reputation as the producer of vitreous china sanitary ware, ceramic tiles and electric water years has been built on the high quality of its products.

"For over 22 years, Saudi Ceramic Company has been creating beautiful designs and manufacturing products to suit all architectural needs," said a company spokesperson.

"Its top quality products have adorned beautiful buildings and houses throughout the region.

"Its products are closely monitored throughout the entire production process, making sure they conform to the highest standards and achieve perfect customer satisfaction.

SCC was set up in 1977 as a joint stock company by a group of businessmen and some financial institutions.

The company is a major supplier to wholesalers and retailers in the kingdom besides operating its own 14 showrooms in major cities in Saudi Arabia.

SCC also serves large projects directly, providing project owners, architects, consultants, and contractors with special products, technical support, and services.

The company's export sales department handles sales of its products to overseas agents and distributors. It provides them with a variety of services including custom-made products to meet respective national standards, special packaging and packing, faster delivery and competitive prices, display and promotional materials, among others.

SCC products are now available in many countries spanning the Middle East, Asia, and Africa and plans are under way to penetrate markets in Europe and North America.

Saudi Ceramics employs about 1,300 people in its three plants - ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, electric water heaters besides sales and marketing and support departments.

The company also offers a wide range of bathroom accessories through its showrooms and other sales channels including flushing mechanisms, WC seats and covers, mixers, mirrors, and other accessories.
