With the recent official inauguration of Union’s new design centre, the company is keen to make substantial gains in its market share in the region by getting closer to where the action is.
Almoajil has been Union’s strategic partner throughout the Middle East.
“This is a truly wonderful Union Design Centre (UDC) and we thank Sheikh Ahmed Al Moajil (managing director of Almoajil) and Muzaffar Khan (general manager) for their commitment, their trust and their belief in us, in Union and in Assa Abloy,” says Iain MacKenzie, export director for Union.
Union’s new design centre has a comprehensive showroom of locks and hardware solutions for commercial, hospitality and residential projects.
“In each area the good, better and best product strategy has been clearly demonstrated within the design centre and where a particular product is not available in Union’s portfolio, a relevant product from Assa Abloy has been displayed. This includes mechanical as well as electro-mechanical solutions and also full door sets,” he says.
Constructed in a record time of four months, the new design centre also includes new office areas for the Union Middle East team, headed by Robert Vos (Union regional director) together with the Almoajil sales and specification teams.
“This is complemented by comprehensive facilities for training and entertaining clients, developers, architects, consultants, project managers and contractors, and in fact any key decision-maker involved in the specification process,” says MacKenzie.
Along with the UDC, Almoajil’s new premises also boasts an exclusive Yale Security Centre (YSC). The company is also investing in a new fleet of vans that will allow speedy deliveries in the UAE and a shuttle service between the Jebel Ali warehouse and the UDC/YSC on Zabeel Road.
