
Geberit, a European pioneer in sanitary systems, has opened a Gulf regional office in Dubai, UAE, as part of a drive to further enhance its international profile.
The Switzerland-based Gerebit group's products include installation systems, drainage, water supply and flushing systems and shower toilets.
''The new office is responsible for the GCC countries and will promote and market the entire product range of the Geberit group,'' company spokesman Christof Blatter says.
He continues: ''At the office in Dubai, technical sales engineers will offer training facilities on a daily basis. The office will promote and market the Geberit, Terrain and Deriplast brands of products and support dealers and distributors as well as contractors, plumbers and consultants, not only is sales, but also to ensure a top-quality installation.''
Elaborating on the line of products, he says, ''With Geberit PreWall installation systems, plumbing installations in both renovations or new buildings can be done easily, quickly and efficiently. The various elements for concealed cisterns permit simple, fast and complete sanitary installation.
''Geberit Mepla is a hot and cold water pipe system. The three-layer pipe offers a lot of advantages. The PE (polyethylene) layers give perfect protection and are corrosion resistant, while the aluminium affords superior strength and absolute diffusion tightness. Airtight connections with a wide range of fittings make for fast and easy assembly.
''Finally, Geberit HDPE pipes and fittings, wihch include the well-known Terrain drainage systems as well as the Deriplast pipes, round-up the product portfolio.''
The Geberit group has production sites in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Britain, US and China and a global turnover of SFR1 billion ($568 million). Sales offices are located in nearly every European city as well as in the US, Canada, Singapore and the UAE.
