SS, a new line of water heaters, sets new standards in performance, quality and durability, according to its manufacturer Al Huraiz Establishment for Industry of the UAE.
''Durability and good performance are the key to any product's popularity, and Everhot water heaters have always lived up to these criteria,'' says a spokesman for the Dubai-based manufacturer.

Its latest offering to an increasingly quality-conscious and informed marketplace is the Everhot SS stainless steel water heater. It provides a perfect solution to contractors looking for a reliable product, offering trouble-free performance backed by a 10-year guarantee that is unmatched by any other competitor in the industry.''
Everhot SS water heaters are produced using high-grade non-corrosive stainless steel tanks and special heating elements for extra life.
The various features of these heaters are said to ensure trouble-free performance for users and building owners, who are freed from the hassle of changing the heaters every two to four years.
The water heaters are designed to ensure total safety and are tested using stringent procedures for each and every part of the unit, according to the spokesman.
Everhot SS heaters, which come in a vertical and horizontal models in capacities of 30, 50, 80 and 100 litres, offer the following features:
Al Huraiz, which was estabished in 1975, is an ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certified firm, and the company says it is proud to be ''the only water heater manufacturer in the Gulf with an ISO 9002 certificate''.
Commenting on these standards, a spokesman at certification specialist Det Norske Veritas' (DNV) Dubai office says: ''Today's market is highly competitive and is increasingly demanding on organisations to be innovative and be ahead of others to survive and grow. Organisations need to be able to have a proactive and systematic method of doing business in regard to quality, safety and environment. These have led to adoption of international standards such as ISO 9000 for quality management and ISO 14000 for environment management systems.
''In the Middle East, the number of organisations seeking certification is increasing for several reasons, such as, to qualify for tendering or to have a marketing advantage, a means to differentiate themselves from the competition.
However, the main reason should be to improve overall operating practices of the organisation, to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction which will help improve the operating result of the company.
''Organisations need to get a clear understanding that effective management systems alone can provide greater financial returns to the organisation and also the marketing advantage of ISO certification or qualification over their competitors. In the final analysis, an effective management system must be able to show results by way of improved financial and operational parameters. In short, certification must yield real benefits to the organisation on a continuing basis.''
''Organisations such as Al Huraiz,'' he says, ''are benefiting by implementing an integrated management system complying to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 and using the certification to improve its operating results and also avert the threat of competition.''
Det Norske Veritas, established in 1864, is a world leader in certifying management systems having certified more than 25,000 companies' worldwide.
