LINTEC of Germany, which manufactures high-quality asphalt and concrete mixing plants, will be introducing its latest Gussasphalt plant alongside its other products at this year’s Saudi Build.
Introduced this year, the specially-designed and fully-containerised CDD1200 GA Gussasphalt plant has a capacity of 20 tonnes per hour (tph) of Guss asphalt/mastic asphalt. The first of these units has been sold to SMAC (of Colas group) of France and will operate in western France near Rennes, says a spokesman for the company.
Guss asphalt/mastic asphalt is a strong and durable material suitable for various applications such as pavements for steel bridge decks; high-quality industrial floorings; track constructions for trams; and car-parks, roofing and ceilings. These asphalts boast high flowability and need a minimum for compaction when placing.
The CDD1200 GA is equipped with a 15-tonne hot bin with one chamber, a 11-tonne recuperated filler silo, one or two Guss asphalt silos on load cells – of 13 tonnes each – a quick mixer and integrated bucket with a capacity of 1,000 kg each and an aggregate weigher with four inlets to weigh up to 800 kg of material.
Apart from this special solution, Lintec is well known for fully-containerised asphalt and concrete mixing plants. The proven Lintec product range covers units of various capacities including asphalt mixing plants from 80 to 400 tph; and concrete mixing plants from 60 to 240 cu m per hour capacity.

Lintec also offers tailor-made solutions, which meet the specific requirements of projects and include optional equipment like external hot storage silos, bitumen or light oil tanks, filler silos, recycling systems and bitumen modification units, among others.
“Lintec mixing plants, which are highly reliable, have found a niche throughout the world,” says the spokesman.
He claims his company is the only manufacturer in the world to produce these plants in 100 per cent ISO sea container dimension.
“With this concept, Lintec is not only targeting users of stationary plants but also companies that wish to quickly and cost-effectively shift plants from one project to the next,” he says.
All components of the plants, including the mixer, burner (for asphalt plants), and electrical cabinets, are already pre-installed into the containers when they leave the factory. “Before shipment, each plant is pre-erected and a complete test-run and monitoring of all functions of the plant is conducted. After connecting the pre-installed pipes and pre-installed cables, the plant is ready for fine-tuning,” adds the spokesman.
For potential buyers, these plants offer several practical and economical advantages, such as:
• Low transport costs: Transport charges and handling time are minimised, thanks to the standardised containers, which are inspected and certified by Germanischer Lloyd;

• Short erection and dismantling time: For the erection of the plant, a crane is needed for a maximum of two days. As the plant is ready for production in a week’s time, it can, therefore, be regarded as mobile, says the spokesman;
• No concrete foundations: The large base area of the containers provides enough stability for operation in a normal compacted site surface;
• Environment-friendly: The Lintec plants operate with the lowest noise, and dust and heat emissions, due to containerisation/encapsulation;
• Simple and easy design: The plants, which are modern in appearance, come with walkways included and preinstalled in the container. Being separate units, single items can be exchanged/replaced easily, he says; and
• Burglarproof: The plants can only be accesses through one main door, which is secured by a safety lock.
Lintec will be exhibiting at Stand 327-3 in the German Pavilion at Saudi Build.
