THE Joaib Group of companies has continued to expand and diversify, enabling it to contribute to a wide range of projects under way in the kingdom.
The Dammam-headquartered group is a leader in manufacturing kitchen cabinets, bedroom closets, Venetian blinds, accordion doors, counter tops and wooden doors. It also specialises in plastic and packing products.
Among its latest successes is a contract signed with Kingdom Schools for supply of classroom furniture from group company Bodyfurn. Established in 2006, Bodyfurn represents Furnware of New Zealand, a renowned maker of school furniture.
The firm is currently in negotiations with two large companies to furnish their schools. Over the past two years, Bodyfurn has delivered and installed school furniture for Albayan Garden School, among other projects.
Meanwhile, another group member Aljoaib Furniture Factory is currently working on the delivery and installation of kitchen cabinets, vanities, and bedroom closets for 226 villas in Jubail for the Royal Commission, having earlier completed a contract for the latter for a 476-villa complex also in Jubail.
Another major deal completed by the company was the delivery and installation of kitchen cabinets, and bedroom closets for 373 apartments in Ras Azoor for Maaden.
The group has also seen major growth in its plastic and packing business, which it set up in 1990 under the banner of Joaib Packing Materials Factory – or Jair Pack – becoming the first and leading manufacturer of air bubble film in the Middle East. In 2005, following extensive research, Jair Pack expanded its production line to launch thermo-reflective insulation, which is known in the market as bubble cool.
“Our bubble cool products are tested and certified at Instituto Giordano in Italy and Saso (Saudi Association Standard Organisation) in Saudi Arabia,” says a spokesman for the company.
Jair Pack has proven to distribute high-quality products and meet customer requirements, he says, adding that the company has become a registered vendor of leading organisations such as Saudi Aramco and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic).
Also in 2005, Joaib Group of Companies established Joaib Plastic and Rubber Factory (JPRF) to manufacture safety netting and mould plastic products. In 2007, Joaib Packing Materials Factory merged with JPRF to form Joaib Plastic and Packing Factory (JPPF).
“JPPF has become one of the most innovative netting companies in the Middle East. It has adopted European technology through support from a well-known machine manufacturer,” says the spokesman.
In 2009, JPPF expanded its production line to introduce new products such as PE (polyethylene) foam thermal insulation, foam carpet and parquet underlay, foam protection layer, and foam packaging and foam backup rods.
“JPPF has developed and implements a quality management system to satisfy the requirements of customers and improve the overall management of the company,” the spokesman says.
Other group companies include Al-Joaib Torchetti and Khalifa Al Joaib Trading Establishment.
