Saudi Arabia

Power option

SAUDI ARABIA has always been an important market for Metabo, a global brand in the field of power tools offering one of the largest combined ranges of woodworking machinery, pumps, compressors and handheld power tools.

With some of the biggest construction projects in the world unfolding in Saudi Arabia, Metabo sees the kingdom as a huge market for power tools. The company is also confident about demand for its products, given the fact that German-engineered products are highly trusted in the country.

“Metabo has lived up to this trust. And when combined with value for money, it becomes a natural choice for the end-user,” says Feroze Sulaiman, director of the Dammam-based Metabo-KSA.

The company has now positioned itself to capitalise on the increasing demand and its reputation in the market. “In order to benefit from the potential of the market to a greater extent, we, at Metabo, have restructured our selling channels here. This was done to make sure that patrons of our products are able to find us easily, irrespective of their geographical location in Saudi Arabia,” he says.

The German hand-tool specialist has accorded high priority to its after-sales service in the kingdom, well aware that clients in Saudi Arabia are very particular about this aspect of product sales.

“The company has support engineers and service experts working round the clock, in all parts of the kingdom to assist the end-user to work better. Whether it is a break down, seeking technical guidance, using the tool in a better manner or even choosing the right tool, end-users can count on our engineers to guide them on the right path,” he says.

According to Sulaiman, certain other exclusive features of Metabo’s service make it the number one choice for customers. “For instance, while spare parts are available with all brands of power tools suppliers, we make sure that you get a spare part of a model that has been phased out and that too eight years after the life of a model, which is something that you will not find with any other brand,” he says.

Metabo was established in Germany in 1924 and over the past eight decades, its operations have spread to 120 countries throughout the globe. In Saudi Arabia, the company is located Khaldiah Industrial Area, Dammam.

Quality has always been and will remain the principal focus of Metabo, without compromise, says Sulaiman. “We are a brand for the professional users, constantly innovating and creating new product features for improved performance.”
The company claims to offer the ideal solution for every requirement. From the first line-produced impact drill in the world to the most modern angle grinders on the market, it has produced innovations that are used in all areas of craft/trade.

This is due to the fact that development and research is given top priority at Metabo. “Being in constant close contact with professionals with decades of experience ensures the production of unique products that repeatedly achieve top results in comparative tests. We think about technology in advance to be able to offer products that meet tough practical demands and requirements,” says Sulaiman.

The company is known to have introduced some useful innovations on the market. The Metabo marathon motor, the S-automatic torque limiting clutch, the pulse technology, the electronic anti-theft protection are a few of the innovations made in the last few years with which Metabo has maintained its top position for high quality electric tools.

All tools are distinguished by their suitability for daily use, tested in its laboratories under practical conditions and optimised and further developed on a constant basis.

Unlike rival products, Sulaiman says Metabo’s tools have aluminium die-cast gear housings.

“This provides significantly better heat dissipation as well as additional mechanical stability. We produce these housing ourselves to ensure the necessary quality and precision. Of course, we do not make everything but we do not compromise when it comes to the essentials. This is where a Metabo becomes a Metabo,” he concludes.
