Qatar plans two mega projects

The Qatari Football Federation has announced the launch of two huge projects valued at QR850 million ($234 million).

The projects are Digital Sports Hotel, a seven-star hotel with all-inclusive entertainment facilities and the Mobile Village – an integrated project that includes information technology (IT) and mobile services.
The $134 million, 30-storey Digital Sports Hotel is viewed as a pacesetter in the country’s vibrant tourism industry, which is poised for a boom with the upcoming Asian Games in 2006.
The project, which is to be executed in 32 months, has been designed to accommodate the rapidly-growing need for hotel accommodation in Qatar.
The hotel will offer all standard amenities with seven-star services including a wide range of rooms.
