GOIC launches new trade portal

Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) has recently launched an easy-to-access Industrial Market Intelligence (IMI) portal in Doha.

According to GOIC, the portal provides a wealth of accredited industrial data, statistics and analytical content for regional and international investors, researchers and industrialists presented in one easy location as six integrated, content-rich databases. “Unique to the region, the portal will be invaluable to everyone interested in analyzing, developing and benefiting from business opportunities in the Gulf,” said Dr Ahmed Al-Mutawa of the GOIC. “The IMI portal will further the mission of GOIC to improve cooperation and coordination across all aspects of industrial development throughout the GCC.”
Developed by GOIC using IBM's WebSphere suite of middleware products the IMI Portal is available in both Arabic and English and has been specially designed to be user-friendly. Essential information has been slotted into six integrated databases: Foreign Trade; Socio-Economic; Investment Opportunities: Technology Providers; Experts; and the Gulf Industries.
Users who subscribe online to any or all of the six databases on the portal will not only gain access to privileged information and the knowledge needed to successfully conduct business in the Gulf, but will also reserve extensive after sales support and a range of other benefits including privileged access to GOIC’s other products.
