The prestigious Barr Al Jissah beach resort project in Oman, is expected to be ready for a soft opening in November.

Construction work on the RO70 million ($181.83 million) concept tourism project jointly promoted by Zubair Corporation and the government is almost complete.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia’s leading hotel group, will manage the property comprising three exclusive hotels offering 680 keys to premium luxury facilities.
Two hotels, Al Waha and Al Bandar, will soft open in November and will be open to paying guests from January 2006. The third hotel, Al Husn, will soft open in mid-January 2006, and receive paying guests from March.
Set amidst 124 acres of landscaped gardens, the resort is located on Oman’s beautiful coastline just 20 minutes drive from Muscat and 40 minutes from the airport.
The landmark attractions of the resort include an Omani Heritage Village featuring activities and exhibits, which reflect the local culture and a 1,000-seat amphitheatre for entertainment under the Arabian sky.
Shangri-La’s own brand of spa, Chi Spa, will be an integral part of the resort experience.
The resort boasts 21 distinct food and beverage outlets ranging from family-style outlets with fast food options, to chic casual eateries and elegant fine dining options. All rooms at Barr Al Jissah are sea-facing and have private balconies, terraces, or patios.
