Global leader in the air-conditioning segment, LG Electronics (LG), has given a total facelift to the traditionally mundane air-conditioners in an effort to transform household electronics and match them to living room furniture or interior décor.
LG’s award-winning Artcool air-conditioners come in various colours, or are complemented with renditions of classic art pieces by famous painters such as Van Gogh, Sisley and Matisse, making them look like paintings rather than appliances. For a touch of local flavour an air-conditioner with a photo of Sydney Opera House is sold in Australia, while another with an image of Makkah is designed for Islamic markets.
The split-type air-conditioners are the slimmest models available in the market today at 139 mm and 142 mm.
The units are equipped with semi-permanent filters that are washable and reusable, eliminating the need to change filters every year as in other brands. LG’s air-conditioning technology creates the most natural and comfortable cooling conditions with features such as Nano Plasma air purifying system to provide healthier living environment.
Artcool air-conditioners also feature the Multi Power System (MPS). This world-first technology combines multiple compressors in a single air-conditioning system, reducing energy consumption by a maximum of up to 70 per cent compared to conventional air-conditioners with only one compressor, says a company spokesman.
