Dammam-based Concrete Systems Factory (CSF) will be promoting its extensive range of exterior finishes including marble chip plastering, wall stamped concrete and stamped concrete as well as cement products and ceramic glue at the SaudiBuild exhibition in December.
CSF, which was established some 16 months ago, claims to be the only factory in the kingdom that produces marble chips application systems to the highest quality and technology and reports that it has been very well received in the regional market.
It has already appointed agents in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar and is keenly looking at appointing representatives in the other Arab countries.
To meet the demand for its products in the region, the company is planning to set up a new facility in joint venture with a Spanish company. Construction works on the new facility – covering a 10,000 sq m area in the Second Industrial Area of Dammam – is expected to start off next January.
The factory, which is expected to become operational in January 2007, will offer products, some of which will be “surprise” products that will be produced for the first time in the region, says CSF director general Iyad Fakhry.
Although Fakhry says that the market has an enormous potential for growth, he laments on the increasing cost of raw materials and the fluctuations in the euro, which are having a negative impact on CSF’s pricing policy.
CSF participated at the SaudiBuild show last year, where it was pleased with the response it received.
Commenting on the show, he says: “It’s a good show which allows us the opportunity to introduce our material to the market. However, the organisers need to market the show more aggressively both in the kingdom and outside.”
“During the exhibition, we will be conducting live demos to show the ease of application and the quality of our products,” he adds.
Apart from SaudiBuild, CSF will also be participating at the Big 5 show in Dubai during November.
CSF is part of the Saudi Mojest group, which was established in 2001 as a contractor specialised in the execution of external finishes and in maintenance. The group now specialises in concrete systems and cement manufacturing.
CSF’s sister company Projects Engineering Contracting Establishment specialises in the application of its products and has already carried out a number of projects in the Eastern Province of the kingdom.
The group has carried out a number of projects for clients including Saudi Aramco, the Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu, Al Khobar Municipality, Al Khobar Labour Office, Jubail Municipality, Dhahran Municipality and Jeddah Municipality, he concludes.
