A Dh 56 million ($15 million) turnkey contract to provide a range of highly specialised water treatment schemes for the $500 million Nubaria combined cycle power plant in Egypt was also won recently by Metito.
The plant, located 60 km south of Alexandria will be one of the largest in Egypt with a total output of 2 by 750 MW. The project is being undertaken for the Government of Egypt through the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company.
