Saudi Arabia's Al Romaizan Factory has added 16 new colours to its existing 38 colours of Topstone surface tiles, in line with its commitment to offer more to its customers.
The company has achieved a lot in the current year, especially in terms of introducing new designs and varieties to TopStone, says deputy general manager (sales and marketing) Akbar Oman Khan.
The marketing efforts of the company, coupled with technical innovation and product development, have not only enhanced the market share of the company but also brought about a greater awareness about the product, he says.
The company is also proud of the success it has achieved in Canada following the introduction of TopStone in that market.
'The company has achieved recognition in the Canadian market and there has been a spurt in demand within such a short span of time. Our objective is to contribute positively to the global society and be a part of the overall success of solid surface industry,' Khan says.
Al Romaizan has been in the business of manufacturing and installing surface tiles -ÿ both in sheet form and as sinks/bowls - for more than 10 years, in both local and international markets. In addition to manufacturing facilities in Riyadh's Second Industrial City, the company has a design centre which helps to provide the consumer with suggestions on the latest designs brought out by the company.
''TopStone has become synonymous with solid surfacing in the region,'' says Khan. ''Being a homogenous material, it is resistant to random impacts, and its composition allows the easy repair of cracks without a trace. TopStone is also non-porous and will not absorb or react with most of the household chemicals.
Khan maintains that the craftsmanship and ingenuity of the technical team have expanded the range of applications for TopStone into a product that can be used in a myriad applications. ''Today, the product is used extensively in providing a solid and lasting finish to most surfaces. The possibility of its use in newer applications is endless and is only limited by imagination,' he says.
TopStone is used in hospitals, homes and hotels and serves to act as a lasting surface to countertops, tabletops, wall-claddings and partitions, particularly in hygiene-sensitive areas.
The fact that TopStone provides a solid and seamless finish to the surface, is said to be ideal for use in hygiene-sensitive areas as it prevents the accumulation of dirt and the growth of bacteria.
Al Romaizan claims to be the first company of its kind in the Kingdom to have received ISO certification and also the first in the region to have a membership to the International Solid Surface Association (ISSFA) and the National Kitchen and Batch Association (NKBA) in the Middle East.
The policy of the company - quality has no compromise - has held it in good stead in the face of stiff competition from multi-nationals, and the company has plans to pursue the policy with a greater vigour, according to Khan.
