Here’s how ... Creative Flooring will be one of the show’s highlights.

THE momentum is gathering in the run-up to the sixth edition of Domotex Middle East, the region’s annual showpiece event dedicated to the floor-covering industry which will again unveil the world’s best in flooring products and applications.

Exhibitors from across the globe will showcase their latest designs and innovations from a broad spectrum of carpets and flooring products, at the three-day event to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, UAE, from September 12 to 14.

The show will attract a wide cross-section of industry professionals from the entire region and beyond, and will provide exhibitors an ideal platform to further strengthen their footprint and network.

With just a few months to go before the 2011 edition opens its doors,  stand bookings have been encouraging, says Angela Schaschen, managing director of Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch, organiser of the show.

Saudi Arabia’s Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Company, one of the region’s largest manufacturers of carpets and allied floor-covering products, is this year’s platinum sponsor of the show. The Riyadh-based firm will lead the exhibitor line-up amongst other prominent names from the industry such as Abu Dhabi National Carpet Factory, Balta, Roya, Estillon, and many others.

There are also likely to be country pavilions from Afghanistan, Belgium, China, Germany, India and Iran at the 2011 edition.

The ‘Creative Flooring’ event at Domotex – backed by Wickham Hardwood Flooring as platinum sponsor, and Balta, Estillon and Roberts as product sponsors – will offer a live “how-to” demonstration area, featuring time-saving and quality enhancing techniques with new products. It will be an opportunity for flooring professionals to learn new techniques on installing mixed material combinations on a variety of surfaces, including wall-to-wall carpet, wood flooring, carpet tiles and laminate flooring.

The demonstrations will be led by professionals from The Academy of Flooring Skills (TAOFS) from the UK.
Also, a ‘Designers Corner’ at the exhibition will be a designated area where architects and interior designers will be provided with an insight into some of the hottest projects in the GCC.
